Laila is an American activist, author, and business owner. She studied law and political science at the University of California in Riverside, California, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2005. She received her master's degree in 2008 from the Annenberg School for Communication and the Dornsife School of International Relations, which are part of the University of Southern California. She dealt with human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation through pornography and prostitution. Laila is the founder, director and leading figure of Exodus Cry, an evangelical organization that says it works against human trafficking and sexual exploitation in pornography and prostitution and wants to hold those who profit from it accountable. Laila is also the founder and CEO of the Justice Defense Fund, and founder of the Traffickinghub activist movement, which is a decentralized global effort to hold Pornhub accountable for enabling and profiting from child abuse, sex trafficking, rape, and the criminal exploitation of countless victims.
